Pressure washing

Driveways, patios, walkways, pavers, decks and commercial hardscapes cleaned with the right water flow, pressure and soap for each surface.

Grime, moss, algae and tire marks build up on outdoor surfaces, and some of them get slippery when wet. Pressure washing restores the surface and makes it safer to walk on.

Different surfaces need different approaches. We adjust the water flow, pressure and soap to each and every surface, from concrete and pavers to stone, wood and siding, and switch to soft washing where high pressure would cause damage.

Surfaces we clean

  • Concrete driveways, sidewalks and garage aprons.
  • Patios, walkways and stairs in concrete, stamped concrete, pavers and natural stone.
  • Wood and composite decks, with pressure kept low enough to avoid furring or gouging the boards.
  • Fences and painted surfaces, with soft washing. For siding, eaves and soffits, see House Washing.
  • Commercial hardscapes such as entrances, walkways, loading areas and strata common areas.

Pressure washing and soft washing

Pressure washing uses higher pressure to lift dirt and growth from hard surfaces like concrete and pavers.

Soft washing uses the proper soap for each surface and a low-pressure rinse, for wood, painted surfaces and anything high pressure would harm. It's also how we wash houses: siding, eaves and soffits have their own House Washing page.

Many jobs use both. We adjust the water flow, pressure and soap to each and every surface.

Pavers and joint sand

Cleaning pavers properly often washes out some of the joint sand. We'll talk you through whether re-sanding is needed and whether it's included in your quote.

Sealing pavers or concrete is a separate service and isn't included unless agreed in writing.

What to expect

Most surface dirt, moss and algae lift well. Oil, rust, paint, tire marks and some organic stains may lighten but not disappear completely.

We protect nearby plants, doors and vents and rinse the work area when we're done. Water access from an outside tap is usually needed.

FAQ

Pressure washing questions

Will pressure washing damage my driveway or deck?

Not when the pressure and technique are matched to the surface. We use lower pressure or soft washing on wood and delicate surfaces.

Can you remove oil stains?

Oil stains usually lighten with hot water and degreaser, but older stains that have soaked into concrete may not come out completely.

Do you need water from my house?

Usually, an accessible outdoor tap with good flow is all we need. If your property doesn't have one, or it's on a well, we can bring our own water.

Do you wash houses, including eaves and soffits?

Yes, it's a big part of our work. Siding, eaves and soffits are soft washed, never high pressure. See our House Washing page for details.

Do you work on commercial and strata properties?

Yes. We clean entrances, walkways, parkades access areas and common areas, and can schedule work to limit disruption to residents and customers.
