This story describes a typical situation we see in Whistler, not one specific customer.
The situation
A family in Spring Creek wanted their outdoor spaces ready for summer: a concrete driveway stained by winter sand and salt, a paver patio with moss in the joints, and a wood deck that had gone grey and slippery in the shade.
With young kids running around barefoot, they wanted it clean, safe and free of anything harsh left behind.
Cleaning with kids and pets in mind
We use cleaning solutions only where they're needed, mainly on moss and algae, and rinse surfaces thoroughly afterwards.
Run-off is directed away from lawns and gardens where kids and pets play.
How we approach it
- Loose winter grit is swept off first so it doesn't get driven into the concrete.
- The driveway is cleaned with a rotary surface cleaner for an even finish.
- Paver joints are cleared of moss and the patio rinsed, with advice on re-sanding if needed.
- The deck is washed at low pressure to lift grime without raising the wood grain, ready for staining if the owners want it.
Timing in Whistler
We schedule spring washes once overnight temperatures stay above freezing, so surfaces can dry properly afterwards.
Questions we hear
Is the cleaning solution safe for kids and pets?
We use solutions sparingly, mainly on moss, and rinse thoroughly. Ask us about the specific products when booking.
Can you stain my deck afterwards?
Staining isn't part of pressure washing, but the deck will be clean and ready for it once it's fully dry.
