Dryer vent cleaning
Lint blown out of the dryer duct from the exterior vent, so your dryer breathes properly and runs the way it should.

Every load sends lint into the dryer vent. Over time it builds up along the duct and at the exterior hood, which restricts airflow. Your dryer runs longer and hotter, and a lint-packed vent is a recognised fire hazard.
We blow the lint out of the duct from the exterior vent, roof vents included, and can clean the dryer side as well. Every job includes an inspection and before-and-after photos.
What's included
- Lint blown out of the full vent duct from the exterior vent.
- Clearing the exterior vent hood and checking that the flap or damper opens and closes freely.
- Removing nests or debris from the exterior opening where they can be reached safely.
- Roof-mounted vents, where the roof can be accessed safely.
- Optional add-on: cleaning the dryer side as well, including the full lint trap housing.
- An inspection, with before-and-after photos of the work.
Signs your vent needs cleaning
Clothes take more than one cycle to dry.
The dryer or laundry room gets unusually hot.
Lint collects around the exterior vent, or the flap stays shut while the dryer runs.
You notice a burning or musty smell while drying.
It has been more than a year since the vent was last cleaned.
Townhomes, condos and long vent runs
Vents in townhomes and strata buildings often run a long way, through ceilings or up to the roof, before they reach the outside. Longer runs with more bends collect lint faster.
For strata complexes, we can clean vents building by building and coordinate access to units with your property manager.
Roof-mounted vent caps need safe roof access, which we'll confirm when quoting.
What we don't do
We don't repair dryers or gas connections. If your dryer still struggles after the vent is clean, the dryer itself may need servicing.
If we find a crushed, disconnected or plastic transition hose behind the dryer, we'll point it out. Flexible plastic or foil hoses trap lint more easily than smooth metal duct, and replacing them is often recommended.

FAQ
Dryer vent cleaning questions
How often should a dryer vent be cleaned?
About once a year for most households. Busy households, vacation rentals and long vent runs may need it more often.
Do I need to be home?
Not for the standard clean, which is done from the outside. If you add the interior clean, we'll need access to the dryer.
Isn't cleaning the lint trap enough?
The lint trap catches most lint, but some always gets past it and builds up in the duct and at the exterior vent. That's what we blow out. We can also clean the full lint trap housing on the dryer side as an add-on.
Can you clean vents that exit through the roof?
Yes, when the roof can be accessed safely. We'll confirm when quoting.
Do you clean dryer vents in strata buildings?
Yes. We can schedule a building or complex at once and coordinate unit access through your property manager.
