Holiday light installation

Rooflines, trees and entrances lit properly, installed safely by a crew that already works at height, and taken down after the season.

Stone and cedar home with every roofline and gable outlined in warm white holiday lights at night

Hanging lights means ladders, wet rooflines and cold hands, usually on the shortest days of the year. We do it for you, plan the design with you first, and come back to take everything down when the season is over.

Because roofs and gutters are our day job, we know how to secure lights properly on shingles, gutters and fascia, and how to work safely at height in winter conditions.

What's included

  • A walk-around to plan the design: rooflines, peaks, windows, railings, trees, shrubs and pathways.
  • Lights supplied by us and custom-cut to your rooflines, with strands and bulbs matched to the architecture of the house for a uniform, professional look.
  • Strands secured with whichever method gives the cleanest, most secure result on each surface: purpose-made clips, fine staples or fasteners.
  • Neat cable runs to your outdoor outlets, with timers set so the lights come on and off on their own.
  • Maintenance through the season: if anything fails, we fix it.
  • Removal after the season, booked when you install.

Planning your display

Most homes look best with a clean outline of the main rooflines, plus one or two features such as a front tree, an entrance or a railing. We'll suggest a layout that suits the house rather than covering every surface.

We confirm the layout, colours and bulb style in your quote. We supply every strand ourselves and don't install customer-supplied lights.

Safety and limits

We work at height every day and use the same care on winter rooflines: no roof work when it's icy or unsafe, and ground-level alternatives where a roof can't be accessed safely.

Lights run from your existing outdoor outlets. We don't do electrical work. If you need a new outdoor outlet or circuit, we'll tell you before installation so an electrician can add it.

We check that the planned display won't overload a single outlet and will suggest splitting it across circuits where needed.

When to book

The season is short: installations run from October through the holidays, and slots fill quickly. Booking early gives you more choice of installation dates, and you can book removal for early January at the same time.

In Whistler and Pemberton, installing before heavy snow arrives makes the job safer and easier.

FAQ

Holiday lights questions

Do you supply the lights, or can you install mine?

We supply all the lights. Each strand is custom-cut and matched to your house for a uniform, professional look, so we don't install customer-supplied lights.

How do you attach the lights?

With whichever method gives the best-looking, most secure result on each surface: purpose-made clips, fine staples or fasteners. We take care to protect your roof, gutters and trim.

Do you take the lights down?

Yes. Removal after the season is part of the service, and we book the date when we install. If anything fails during the season, we fix it.

Can you light trees and shrubs?

Yes. Trees, shrubs, railings and entrances can all be included. Very tall trees may need extra equipment, which we'll confirm when quoting.

Do you install lights for businesses and strata buildings?

Yes. Storefronts, entrances and strata common areas can be lit too. We can coordinate timing and access with your property manager.
