Holiday light installation in Whistler

Snow arrives early up here, so installs are easiest before the first big storm. Book in October if you can.
About our holiday lights service
- A walk-around to plan the design: rooflines, peaks, windows, railings, trees, shrubs and pathways.
- Lights supplied by us and custom-cut to your rooflines, with strands and bulbs matched to the architecture of the house for a uniform, professional look.
- Strands secured with whichever method gives the cleanest, most secure result on each surface: purpose-made clips, fine staples or fasteners.
- Neat cable runs to your outdoor outlets, with timers set so the lights come on and off on their own.
- Maintenance through the season: if anything fails, we fix it.
- Removal after the season, booked when you install.
How we approach holiday lights, including methods and limits
Planned around snow
Snow sliding off a steep metal or cedar roof can tear lights straight off the eaves. We look at where snow sheds and where snow guards and heat cables sit, and place the runs where they'll survive the winter.
Every strand is custom cut and fastened with whatever holds best on that surface, from clips to fine staples or fasteners, so the lines stay straight through freeze-thaw cycles.
Chalets, second homes and rentals
Many Whistler homes are second homes or rentals. We can install while you're away, work around guest bookings and send before-and-after photos so you can see the result from wherever you are.
We match the strand and bulb to the architecture: warm white along timber-frame gables, a crisp line on modern flat roofs, or something more colourful if that suits the house.
Village storefronts and strata
For shops and restaurants in Whistler Village, Creekside and Function Junction, we install outside business hours. Strata complexes get one consistent design across the buildings, coordinated with the property manager.
During the season we maintain the lights and come back if anything fails. Removal is booked when we install.

Stories from Whistler
- Holiday lights for a Whistler Village storefrontIn the Village, the holiday season is the busy season. A storefront that's lit properly gets noticed by everyone walking past.
- Holiday lights on a Whistler chalet, installed before the snowIn Whistler, the best time to put up holiday lights is before the snow makes rooflines dangerous. Here's how we plan it.
FAQ
Holiday lights in Whistler: questions
Can you install holiday lights while we're not in Whistler?
Yes. We arrange access ahead of time, install while you're away and send before-and-after photos when the job is done.
Will snow pull the lights down?
We plan placement around where snow sheds from your roof, and secure every strand so it holds through the winter. If something does come loose, we fix it during the season.
Do you supply the lights, or can you install mine?
We supply all the lights. Each strand is custom-cut and matched to your house for a uniform, professional look, so we don't install customer-supplied lights.
How do you attach the lights?
With whichever method gives the best-looking, most secure result on each surface: purpose-made clips, fine staples or fasteners. We take care to protect your roof, gutters and trim.
