Spring clean-up of winter grit on a Nordic driveway
When the snow finally melts in Whistler, it leaves behind sand, gravel, grime and a driveway that looks years older than it did in the fall.

This story describes a typical situation we see in Whistler, not one specific customer.
The situation
A home in Nordic Estates has a sloped concrete driveway, a paver walkway to the front door and a deck facing the trees. After a long winter of snow clearing and traction sand, everything is coated in grey grit, with tire marks and dark patches where meltwater pooled.
The owners wanted it cleaned up before summer guests arrived.
How we approach it
First, loose grit and gravel are swept and blown off. Washing over loose grit just pushes it into joints and drains.
Concrete is cleaned with a rotary surface cleaner for an even finish. Pavers are cleaned at a lower setting, and we'll let you know if the joints need re-sanding afterwards.
The deck is washed gently to lift winter grime without damaging the wood.
Run-off is directed away from garden beds, and we rinse down the area when we finish.
When to book in Whistler
Late spring, once the snow is gone and night-time temperatures stay above freezing so surfaces can dry. Spring slots fill quickly, so booking ahead helps.
Questions we hear
Can you clean my driveway in early spring?
We wait until surfaces won't refreeze after washing. That's usually mid to late spring in Whistler.
Will you re-sand my pavers?
Ask us when quoting. We'll tell you whether re-sanding is recommended and whether it's included.
