A farmhouse and shop roof out in Pemberton Meadows
Out in the Meadows, a property can have three or four roofs: the house, a shop, a barn and a carport. Each one needs a different approach.

This story describes a typical situation we see in Pemberton, not one specific customer.
The situation
A farm property in Pemberton Meadows has an older farmhouse with an asphalt shingle roof, a newer metal-roofed shop and a lean-to carport. The north side of the house roof has moss, the shop roof is streaked with grime and needles, and the gutters on both are packed.
The owner wanted all of it looked at in one visit rather than calling three different contractors.
One property, different roofs
- The shingle roof is cleaned by hand with low pressure, to protect the granules, and gets our standard moss treatment.
- The metal roof tolerates cleaning well, but it's slippery and may have fastener or coating issues, so we check those first and plan footing carefully.
- Older outbuilding roofs aren't always safe to walk on. If a roof is too fragile or too steep, we'll say so rather than risk it.
How we approach it
- We walk the property first and agree which roofs and gutters are included, with each one priced separately in the quote.
- Moss and debris are cleared from valleys, ridges and roof edges. Gutters on each building are cleared at the end.
- On rural properties, we also confirm water access before the day.
What to expect
Clean roofs that shed water properly, clear gutters on every building included, and notes on anything that needs a roofer or repair.
